Corruption Case At Praya Hospital, Lombok, Defendant Calls There Is A Flow Of Money To Prosecutors

MATARAM - Former Director of the Praya Regional General Hospital (RSUD) of Central Lombok Regency, dr. Muzakir Langkir revealed that there were funds from the regional public service agency (BLUD) flowing to unscrupulous prosecutors.

Langkir, who was a defendant in the alleged corruption case of BLUD funds at the Praya Hospital, revealed this when he was present as a witness to the crown for another defendant, namely Adi Sasmita as the official commitment maker (PPK) and Treasurer of BLUD Baiq Prapningdiah Asmarini at the Mataram Corruption District Court, West Nusa Tenggara, quoted by ANTARA Thursday, May 25.

Langkir revealed that there was a flow of BLUD funds into the pockets of the prosecutor after responding to the question of the defendant's legal adviser Adi Sasmita, Lalu Anton Hariawan.

"In your statement at the BAP (examination report), there was money flowing to the prosecutor even though the amount was only Rp. 20 million. Is that true or not?" said Anton.

Langkir also answered the question by explaining that the Rp20 million was the calculation of the handover in the BLUD fund management period at Praya Hospital from 2017 to 2020.

"Yes, Rp. 20 million is calculated. So, often (the prosecutor) asks. There is also love for me. The reason is asking because his son is sick," said Langkir.

Furthermore, there are also BLUD funds flowing for the campaign costs for the 2019 Central Lombok Regent Election, the Then Pathul Bahri pair with HM Nursiah who now serves as Regent and Deputy Regent of Central Lombok.

Langkir revealed that the funds were to finance election disputes at the Constitutional Court (MK) level.

"For election disputes, at that time I was told to prepare Rp150 million. However, all I could provide was Rp100 million. I gave that through the Regent's aide," he said.

Langkir also admitted that he could not prepare the funds using personal funds so he was forced to withdraw from the BLUD funds.

"At that time I strengthened it from 25 percent of BLUD funds," he said.

To the judge, Langkir also explained that the 25 percent of the BLUD funds came from cutting partner money for the procurement of goods and services at the Praya Hospital. The nominal deduction is 5 percent of each procurement.

"So, what I gave to these parties was the result of collecting 5 percent of the funds provided by the partners," he said.

In this case, the prosecutor charged Langkir while still serving as Director of the Praya Hospital to do, order to do, and participate in doing actions that benefit himself or other people or a corporation, namely Adi Sasmita, Baiq Prapningdiah Asmarini, and provider of goods in managing BLUD funds at Praya Hospital in 2017 to 2020.

Akibat perbuatan Muzakir Langkir bersama-sama dengan Adi Sasmita, Baiq Prapningdiah Asmarini, dan penyedia barang telah muncul kerugian negara Rp883 juta. Angka kerugian tersebut muncul dalam kegiatan pengadaan makanan berdasarkan laporan hasil audit Inspektorat Lombok Tengah.

In the Langkir indictment, the public prosecutor applies the suspicion of Article 2 paragraph (1) and / or Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 paragraph (1) letter b of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law no. 20 of 2001 jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.

The prosecutor also applied these charges to the defendants Adi Sasmita and Baiq Prapningsiah Asmarini.
