LSIデニーJA調査:プラボウォ・ウングリ・ガンジャールとアニスの当選可能性

JAKARTA - The results of the survey of the Indonesian Survey Circle (LSI) Denny JA for the period 3-14 May 2023 show that Prabowo Subianto's electability as a potential presidential candidate (candidate) occupies the top position and outperforms Ganjar Pranowo and Anies Baswedan.

"In May 2023, Prabowo Subianto's electability reached 33.9 percent, followed by Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo at 31.9 percent and former DKI Jakarta governor Anies Baswedan at 20.8 percent," said LSI researcher Denny JA Adjie Alfaraby as reported by ANTARA, Friday, May 19.

Adjie mentioned four reasons that made Prabowo's electability succeed in defeating Ganjar and Anies. First, he said, the majority of respondents wanted a figure with strong leadership so that they could grow the Indonesian economy.

"Of the three names of candidates for presidential candidates (Prabowo, Ganjar, Anies), Prabowo is stronger than his association as a strong leader who is able to grow the economy. Prabowo is seen as a leader who is firm, strong, and fluent in embracing various parties," he explained.

Second, Prabowo's electability is also increasing because a number of Ganjar supporters moved to choose Prabowo because he was considered more nationalist. Furthermore, Prabowo's position as minister succeeded in strengthening his image as a presidential candidate who was able to manage the government.

"Fourth, Prabowo is considered to be a central figure who is widely accepted by various political spectra," said Adjie.

The LSI Denny JA survey was conducted face-to-face using a questionnaire to 1,200 respondents from all over Indonesia with a survey error threshold of 2.9 percent.

In addition to implementing quantitative methods, LSI Denny JA in its survey also enriches information and analysis by applying qualitative methods, such as media analysis, in-depth interviews, and group discussions.
