The Alor SAR team is still continuing to search for Arba Ali (40), a resident of Bandar Village, Pangtar District, who was reported missing while fishing around Pandai waters, Alor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara.

"The SAR team is still searching for the victim named Arba Ali (40) who lost contact while going fishing. Until the SAR operation the second day the victim was still not found," said Head of the Maumere Search and Rescue Office, Mexianus Bekabel, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, May 19.

Arbi, a resident of Bandar Village, was reported missing while going fishing in Pandai waters, Pantar District, Alor Regency on Thursday (18/5) or about 20.9 Nautical Mile from the port of Kalabahi, Alor Regency.

"Based on information from the victim's family that Arba Ali (40) went to sea from Bandar Village to Pandai Waters at 10.00 WITA and lost contact so that the family made an effort to search independently but was not found, so they asked Basarnas for help to conduct a search," said Mexianus Bekabel.

During the search, the victim's family only found boats and fishing gear belonging to the victim around the waters of Buaya Island.

"The boat was found empty without any victim Arba Ali," said Mexianus.

The SAR team from the Alor SAR Post consisting of five people is trying to search for victims around the location of the victim fishing.

"The SAR team is near the scene of the incident to carry out SAR operations by deploying the RIB Alor SAR Post to conduct a search along the coast to find the victim. We hope that the victim will be found soon," said Mexianus.
