West Java Manpower And Transmigration Office Investigate News Of Company Bosses In Cikarang Required To Sleep Together To Extend Contract

JABAR - The Manpower and Transmigration Office (Disnakertrans) of West Java Province (Jabar) sent a team to investigate viral news about a company boss or boss in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, who required to sleep together to extend the work contract of female employees/female employees.

"So for the Cikarang case, we have assigned supervisors there because I believe it is not the entrepreneur," said Head of the West Java Province Manpower and Transmigration Service (Disnakertrans), Rachmat Taufik Garsadi, on the sidelines of the May Day 2023 commemoration event, in Bandung City, Thursday 4 May.

He believes that the news about the company boss in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency who requires sleeping together to extend the employee's work contract is carried out by an individual.

"Because the company already has regulations, there is a company regulation that the cooperation agreement is the highest rule in the company. So if there is an extended contract and so on. It is already in the company's rules and that is the exact person," he said, confiscated by Antara.

The West Java Manpower and Transmigration Office, said Taufik, has not been able to inform the results of the team's investment that has been sent by his party to Cikarang regarding the news.

"But I can't convey it yet, because my team is still investigating there," he said.

He said that if the company boss's disgraceful actions were proven, they could be dragged into the realm of law. "So if that is an individual, the realm is not an industrial relationship. That must be the authority of the criminal realm," he said.

According to him, so far the case has never handled or found a case of the company boss in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, which requires sleeping together to extend the work contract of female employees.

"There has never been a case like that. The most that I have received reports so far is harassment, harassment at work. And if there is an incident in the workplace such as harassment, you can immediately file a complaint either to our office or to the UPTD or to the easiest through the Ready KK application," he said.
