2023 Asian Badminton Championships: Indonesian Representatives Fall In Quarter Finals

JAKARTA - Indonesian representatives began to fall at the 2023 Asian Badminton Championships. Three Red and White representatives died while fighting in the quarter-finals, Friday, April 28.

The first representatives who died in this round were Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari. The Indonesian mixed doubles lost to the Malaysian pair, Goh Soon Huat/Lai Shevon Jemie.

Rinov/Pitha gave up after fighting three games. They fell with a score of 17-21, 21-15 and 19-21.

Rinov/Pitha's footsteps were followed by Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi. They lost 16-21, 21-18 and 11-21 to representatives of Thailand, Jongkolphan Kititharakul/Rawinda Prajongjai.

Praveen Jordan/Melati Daeva Oktavianti's mixed doubles steps also stopped in the quarter-finals. The Djarum PB pair were unable to contain the first seed, Zheng Si Wei/Huang Ya Qiong.

Praveen/Melati lost two straight games with a score of 11-21 and 17-21.

Luckily, the fate of Dejan Ferdinansyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja is much better. This Indonesian mixed doubles has successfully stepped into the semifinals.

Dejan/Gloria beat the Indian pair, Rohan Kapoor/Reddy Sikki. They won through three games with a score of 21-18, 19-21, and 21-15.
