Allegedly Sleepy, 3 Homecomers Died On Jalan Kubang Raya Riau
The Kampar Resort Police (Polres) officer, Riau Province, is investigating the cause of a traffic accident. A car killed three travelers who occurred on Jalan Kubang Raya, Kampar Regency, Thursday morning. Kampar Police Chief AKBP Didik Sambodo said the silver Avanza car with police number BM 1694 QK drove from Jalan Garuda Sakti towards Jalan Kubang Raya. At high speed the car swerved to the left then hit a tronton truck with police number BM 8196 AU that was parked. "It is suspected that the driver was in a sleepy state," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, April 27. Currently the police have conducted an investigation of the scene by examining a number of witnesses. Police have checked surveillance camera footage (CCTV) in the vicinity of the incident location. According to CCTV footage circulating in a number of groups of conversations the accident occurred at around 06.12 WIB. The condition of the road was quiet only a few motorcyclists passing on the road. In that incident, three car passengers died at the scene, while the other two were injured and have been taken to a nearby hospital. Based on information, the victims had just returned home from the West Sumatra region and were about to return to Riau.
