D+1 Lebaran, Pelindo Records Ship Passengers Almost Reaching 1 Million People
JAKARTA - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo noted that up to D+1 Lebaran, the number of ship passengers reached 999,455 people. The lift increased 24 percent when compared to the same period in 2022 which was only 805,418 people.

"On average, 70,419 units were dominated at Banten Port, 18,413 units of Tanjung Perak, 9,002 units of Sheet, and 6,812 units of Balikpapan," Ali said, written Wednesday, April 26.
On the other hand, Ali also ensures that all passenger terminals managed by PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo are ready to serve the backflow of Lebaran 2023.
Ali said that in the face of this year's Eid backflow, Pelindo continues to optimize the services and performance of officers in the field.
"This is to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers during peak times," he said.
Based on estimates from the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub), the peak traffic density of sea transportation will occur since yesterday, Tuesday, April 25.
Ali ensured that all Pelindo passenger ports were supported by the existence of the Lebaran Transportation Post which functions as a monitoring and coordination center.

Furthermore, Ali explained that the Lebaean Transportation Post will continue to monitor all passenger terminals from April 7 to May 8, 2023 and operate for 24 hours.
Ali added, to ensure that passengers remain safe, comfortable, healthy and smooth, during the 2023 Eidback flow, Pelindo also prepared supporting facilities such as passenger waiting room, prayer room, lactation room, portable toilet, medical team, ambulance, and additional security personnel.
