Widi Puradiredja: The Untitled Song Actually Doesn't Have A Title
JAKARTA - Widi Puradiredja said that one of the hits by Maliq & The Essentials, Untitled, at first did not have a title. He conveyed this in an interview session with Iyas Lawrence on the Meaning Talks YouTube channel some time ago.
The song Unitited is actually not that title. But Track 14. There is no title. So this was originally not on the album. Then our producer at that time required the song to be included in the first album," he said.
"Why didn't I want to be included in the album at that time, because first I was the one who was asked to sing, secondly, the first album wanted styles and suddenly there was a pop song so it wasn't cool. Even though it was the most honest song because there was no tendency when making it. In the end, it entered the album, "he continued.
After that, the drummer for Maliq & The Essentials added that the song only had a title when many requests started from the audience when appearing on various stages.
"When it's running, it appears on various stages, people often request. Track 14! Songs that don't have a title. Yes, from now on, the title is Untitled," he said.
In fact, long before that, Widi said that the song was titled Ketika.

"Well, actually it's called When. So what until now says the title of the song When my father just said it," he said.
Then, Iyas Lawrence replied to the answer.
"Wow, even though people's assumptions about Untitled's song are about relationships that don't have a name," he explained.
Then, Widi responded to Iyas Lawrence's words.
"Yes, but at first, it was like I told you earlier," he concluded.
