JABAR - The police installed CCTV cameras at a number of points with the potential for a buildup of vehicles during the 2023 Eid homecoming period at Eid al-Fitr 1444 H.
Sukabumi Police Chief AKBP Maruly Pardede said the installation was carried out by his party to monitor traffic conditions in Sukabumi.
"The CCTV shipment was installed on the main homecoming routes, both in the north and south of Sukabumi Regency, then in tourist routes as well as locations prone to accidents and congestion," he said in Sukabumi, West Java (West Java), Sunday, April 2, was confiscated by Antara.
According to him, the existence of CCTV is also to speed up handling in the event of traffic accidents or congestion, especially during this year's Eid homecoming season.
"The installation of CCTV has been used to monitor and facilitate the coordination of officers in the field," he said.
Meanwhile, Head of the Information and Communication Technology (TIK) Section of the Sukabumi Police, Aipda Deny Ferdianto, added that the CCTV also helps the public to find out the homecoming and tourist routes that will be traversed through live streaming or live broadcasts on the YouTube channel belonging to the Sukabumi Police.
He conveyed that the YouTube channel can be accessed by the public at any time and anywhere, so that they can find out the condition of traffic flow, especially when going home, so that residents can choose the right time to travel home or travel to avoid traffic jams.
"The existence of this CCTV can also be seen live streaming by anyone, especially travelers on YouTube channel d'TIKseleves and Denzel BDN Ratu," said Deny.
He said the number of CCTVs that have been installed is currently 38 units spread across 38 points. In addition, in the near future the Sukabumi Police will add one more CCTV that will be installed on the Bocimi Toll Road, precisely at the Parungkuda toll exit or Parungkuda Toll Exit, bringing the total to 39 CCTV.

The locations of the CCTV points are spread from Benda Village, Cicurug District, Cicurug Market, Cikidang TMC Intersection, Cibadak Market, Bagbagan T-junction, Batuapi Roundabout, Gunungbutak Intersection, Karanghawu Beach and Tenjoresmi.
"The existence of this CCTV is not only to facilitate and speed up the work of officers in the field in providing services, arrangements and security during the homecoming flow until the return. But it can also be used by residents, travelers or tourists to find out the conditions of traffic flow on the homecoming route, both tourism and other protocol roads so that they can avoid congestion," said Deny.
He said, if there is a traffic jam or accident, personnel at the Sukabumi Police ICT will immediately coordinate with the field officers closest to the location of the incident, so as to minimize the impact.
