JAKARTA - BMW iX has officially landed in Indonesia. BMW Astra, as the official dealer from BMW Indonesia, has handed over to consumers.
The handover was carried out by the CEO of BMW Astra, Sanfrantis Tanu, Operation Officer of BMW Astra, Teguh Widodo, and Marketing and Customer Relations Management Dept. BMW Astra Head Martha Andhyka to customers who buy BMW iX at BMW Astra Serpong.
Even though they have just handed over 17 BMW iX units to customers, the presence of premium electric cars has actually received a positive response from the entire community. BMW Astra claims that the latest SAV is indent by around 300 units.
"For now, there are around 300 units, only bought at BMW Astra," said BMW Astra CEO Sanfrantis Tanu when met at BMW Astra Serpong.
He also added that his party hopes that 300 BMW iX units will arrive in Indonesia by the end of the year. However, BMW Astra could not promise because many factors influence it.
"Hopefully it can be by the end of the year. Because there are many decisive factors. Hopefully there won't be many more obstacles," Sanfrantis added after handing over BMW iX to customers.
For specifications, BMW iX is equipped with an electric motor that can generate 326 dk of power and 630 Nm of torque. With this power, BMW's latest SAV is capable of traveling from 0 to 100 km/h within 6.1 seconds with a maximum speed of 200 km/hour.
The battery embedded in BMW iX is Lithium-ion with a capacity of 76.6 kWh. The distance this car can take is 390 km in a full battery state.
With more efficient performance and energy, BMW set a price at iX 85,000 US dollars or around IDR 2 billion.
