JAKARTA - A modified or custom motorcycle workshop from Nagoya, AN-BU Custom Motors, shows off one of the Royal Enfield motorbikes, GT 650, which is assembled into a race bike in the 80s.

Reporting from Young Machine, Saturday, March 17, the founder of AN-BU Custom Motors, Koichi Fujita, initially intended to modify the Royal Enfield GT 650. However, after that he thought about changing the motorbike not only in terms of appearance.

Named "Kai", the motorbike carries the theme of racing in the 80s, Fujita immediately re-made the upper tube of GT 650. On the motorbike, Fujita added a hand-made aluminum fuel tank which made the racing retro style even thicker.

Then, the motorcycle part is made with a beam shape to match the old-age racing motorbike and coupled with fairing which adds to the classic impression.

Although it is designed with the theme of an old racing motorbike, Fujita also adds the characteristics of the AN-BU workshop on the Royal Enfield motorbike. Fujita puts a single offset light that fits the typical appearance of the custom workshop.

This motorbike is also added to the Kayaba suspension which supports the front and back with adjustments depending on the driver. Fujita also sharpened the geometry of this motorbike in order to get control worthy of being used for racing with a set of shockbreakers consisting of three pieces.

The last touch that was displayed, AN-BU pinned one exhaust to open a 648 cc Royal Enfield parallel twin.

This motorbike was displayed on the Osaka Motorcycle Show on March 17, 2023. The modified GT 650 will also appear on the Tokyo Motorcycle Show on March 24, 2023, then be exhibited at the Nagoya Motorcycle Show on April 7, 2023.
