Sorry Via Vallen To Take Down The Video Clip Which Is Considered Plagiarism By IU
JAKARTA - Dangdut singer Via Vallen must be willing to put down his latest video clip 'Love, Listen to Me'. The video clip for the duet with Dryga Dadali had to be taken down after netizens were busy calling Via Vallen plagiarizing the video of South Korean singer Lee Ji-eun, known as IU.
Via his Instagram account, Via Vallen, who has skyrocketed his name after singing the theme song for the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, apologized. The owner of the real name Maulidia Octavia admitted that he did not know that there was a similarity between the video clip with Dryga Dadali and IU's video clip, Above the Time.
"For IU, IU fans and especially vyanisty, as well as those who feel aggrieved, I'm sorry for my latest MV which turned out to be very similar to IU's MV. There is absolutely no element of joy because I'm not a fan of Kpop in general, so I don't know much about Kpop MVs, "said Via Vallen on the viavallen Instagram account quoted by VOI, Sunday, October 25.
The Surabaya-born singer emphasized that he did not know the concept of IU's music video which was the same as the video clip of himself uploaded on the ascadamusik YouTube account. Because of this incident, Via Vallen admitted to being embarrassed.
"If from the start I knew that the MC 'give me a listen' is just the same as someone else's MV, it is certain that 100 percent will ask to change the concept. "Honestly, I was really embarrassed when I found out," continued Via Vallen.
This woman who was born in Surabaya, East Java ensures that she will learn a lesson from this incident.
“MV Love You Listen, I have taken it down, friends. Once again, sorry for the negligence that happened, ”said Via Vallen, the singer of Ra Jodo song.
