Jerinx Suspects A Game: Who Ordered Hate Speech Articles?

DENPASAR - Musician I Gede Ari Astina alias Jerinx suspected that there was a game behind him being reported to the police on suspicion of hate speech.

"So from the trial it was revealed that the power of attorney from the Central IDI PB to IDI Bali was to report defamation of me. So there is no order from the Central IDI PB to report me in Article 28 for hate speech, ”Jerinx said after undergoing a follow-up hearing, Thursday, October 15.

According to him, under Article 28 of the ITE Law, suspects could be detained according to the investigators' subjective considerations. Because of this, Jerinx demanded that IDI Bali be open about ordering the Article 28 suspicion.

"Because Article 28 can detain people, (if) the defamation article can not be detained, Article 27. Article 28 requires that people be detained. If IDI Bali does not want to be pitted against the people because it is clear that there is a game here, IDI Bali should immediately clarify who ordered article 28, "urged Jerinx.

Jerinx was charged with spreading hatred or hostility towards the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) through posts on his Instagram account. The prosecutor considered Jerinx's post about 'IDI Kacung WHO' to insult IDI.

There are two Jerinx posts on the @jrxsid account in question, namely the posts on June 13 and June 15. According to the prosecutor, Jerinx deliberately and without the right to spread information that caused hatred or hostility to individuals or groups of society, namely the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) in Bali.

According to the prosecutor, Jerinx deliberately made the post until it was judged by the prosecutor to cause hatred against IDI. Jerinx's character in Superman Is Dead (SID) was also mentioned in the indictment.

Jerinx was charged with Article 28 paragraph 2 jo Article 45 paragraph 2 of the Information and Electronic Transaction Law (ITE) and the second alternative charge, namely Article 27 paragraph 3 in conjunction with Article 45 paragraph 3 of the ITE Law.
