Polri Nonaktif Kapolresta Sleman Buntut Kasus Hogi Minaya

JAKARTA - The National Police of the Republic of Indonesia (Polri) has temporarily deactivated the Sleman Police Chief, Kombes Edy Setyanto, following the recommendation of the Audit With a Specific Purpose (ADTT) conducted by the Regional Oversight Inspectorate (Itwasda) of the Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY).

The ADTT was carried out on January 26, 2026 related to handling cases of theft with violence (curas) and traffic accidents that occurred on April 26, 2025.

"This temporary deactivation is carried out to ensure the objectivity of the subsequent examination and to ensure that the law enforcement process is carried out professionally, transparently, and fairly," said Brigadier General Trunoyudo, in his statement, Friday, January 30, 2026.

Truno also revealed that from the results of the audit, it was found that the leadership's supervision was weak, which had an impact on the investigation process, thus triggering public uproar and affecting the image of the National Police.

"The interim results of the ADTT were held on January 30, 2026. In the title, all participants agreed to recommend the temporary deactivation of the Sleman Police Chief until the next examination is completed," he said.

As a follow-up to the ADTT's recommendations, said Truno, the DIY Police is planning to carry out the handover of office (sertijab) which will be led directly by the DIY Police Chief on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 10.00 WIB, at the DIY Police Chief's meeting room.

As is known, the Sleman Police, Kombes Kombes Edy Setyanto, has come under the spotlight after the prevalence of the Hogi Minaya (43) case, who defended his wife when he was attacked by two RDA and RS perpetrators.

RDA and RS died after being involved in an accident while being chased by Hogi Minaya on Solo Street, Maguwoharjo, Sleman, Yogyakarta on April 26, 2025. The accident incident actually made Hogi Minaya a suspect.

Police revealed that Hogi was driving a car when he saw his wife who was riding a motorcycle as a victim of robbery. Hogi then chased and stopped the perpetrator's vehicle until an accident occurred that killed the two perpetrators.

The handover of the post, which was led by the DIY Police Chief, will be carried out today, Friday, January 30, 2026.
