Toyota Indonesia Exports Reach 298 Thousand Units, Bagging 58 Percent of Total National Automotive Exports

JAKARTA - Toyota Indonesia has made positive achievements from export performance by recording vehicle shipments outside Indonesia reaching 298,457 units of vehicles in full or Completely Built Up (CBU) to various destination countries. This was revealed by President Director of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN), Nandi Julianto. According to him, this figure makes Toyota the main contributor to the Indonesian automotive industry in the global market. "This figure accounts for about 58 percent of the total national automotive exports, making Toyota the main contributor to the Indonesian automotive industry in the global market," he said, when met in Jakarta, some time ago. The high demand for Toyota vehicles outside Indonesia is based on a map that is increasingly expanded by the company. Not only focusing on the Asian continent but to other parts of the world such as Latin America to Australia.

Talking about models, the domestically produced Toyota Kijang Innova Zenix Hybrid and Yaris Cross Hybrid are still the backbone of the company in sending vehicles outside Indonesia. Later, the Japanese brand will focus on segments A and B which are indeed the key to developing countries. "We don't want to stop there, we want to develop the key segments, segments A and B, the key global south, the countries that will develop," he explained.

As is known, TMMIN has recorded an export volume of 3 million units since its inception in 1987. Regarding the destination country, the company also recorded an increase that is now 100 countries.
