PAN Admits Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa's Electability Is High, But Not Of Course Wants To Go To Politics

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the National Mandate Party (PAN) DPP Eddy Soeparno admitted that the electability of the Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadives is currently quite high based on a number of national survey results.

However, according to him, this did not immediately make Purbaya interested in entering politics.

Eddy assessed that Purbaya is a professional in the financial sector who is currently focusing on bureaucratic tasks, especially in managing state finances and treasury.

"Then Mr. Purbaya became one of the candidates made by PAN for us to withdraw it to PAN? Yes, it's not certain that Mr. Purbaya also wants it," said Eddy at the Parliament complex, Jakarta, Wednesday, October 29.

Based on a survey by a research institute, Purbaya's popularity has even surpassed West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi, who has been known as one of the popular figures in the public.

Even so, Eddy emphasized that the high popularity was not enough. According to him, the community is still waiting for real results from Purbaya's performance, especially in realizing the national economic growth target of 8 percent in 2028 as directed by President Prabowo Subianto.

"So, I think Pak Purbaya takes advantage of the great time and support of the community to reap optimal results," said the Deputy Chairperson of the MPR RI.

Previously, the IndexPolitica survey institute released ten names of potential figures for the vice president position. In the list, Purbaya Yudhi Sadiveh was ranked first with 28.65 percent electability, followed by Dedi Mulyadi (20.15 percent), Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (15.75 percent), and Gibran Rakabuming Raka (12.35 percent).

IndexPolitica also noted that 83.5 percent of the public were satisfied with President Prabowo Subianto's performance during his one-year leadership. This figure shows a very high level of public trust, which also has an impact on increasing positive exposure to ministers in his cabinet.
