Ministry Of Trade Invites Business Actors To Join The 40th Trade Expo Indonesia
JAKARTA - Director General of National Export Development of the Ministry of Trade, Fajarini Puntodewi, continues to invite Indonesian business actors to participate in the largest international trade show in Indonesia, Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2025.
The 40th TEI will be held at the BSD City Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), Tangerang Regency, Banten on October 15, 2025.
With thousands of participants and buyers continuing to increase every day, TEI 2025 opens opportunities for Indonesian products to find their interest in the global market. This strategy is a real commitment that exports are not only for big business actors, but also for businesses in small and medium enterprises (SMEs)," said Puntodewi, quoted on Tuesday, September 30.
He added, at the 40th event, TEI 2025 carried the theme Discover Indonesia's Excellence: Trade Beyond Boundaries. As of Monday, September 29, there were at least 1,015 exhibition participants and 6,847 buyers from 106 countries ready to enliven the TEI 2025 event.
"TEI still opens opportunities for business actors who want to participate and welcome buyers to attend the 2025 TEI," he continued.
According to Puntodewi, this year's TEI targets a transaction achievement of 16.5 billion US dollars. TEI 2025 is also targeted to be attended by at least 1,500 exhibition participants and attended by 30,000 visitors.
Buyers who register have exceeded the target and are still increasing every day. We welcome Indonesian business actors to take advantage of this opportunity as a showy event to show off their best products," said Puntodewi.
This year, TEI will be carried out offline again without using the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) funds. In addition to seeing products directly, buyers can try and feel the advantages of goods and services from local business actors. Puntodewi hopes that this face-to-face experience can help show product attraction to foreign buyers.
TEI 2025 presents a number of breakthroughs to encourage an increase in Indonesia's exports. For the first time, giving special space to village business actors through the 'Export Orientation Village' booth as well as micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through the 'MSME Park Dare to Innovation, Ready to Adapt (BISA) Exports'.
Another novelty that was also present at this year's TEI is the pre-business matching mechanism. Unlike previous years, this time the business matching was held before the exhibition took place. This aims to make the business matching more targeted so as to create greater transaction opportunities. The 2025 TEI exhibition will be divided into three product zones.
The three zones are the Food, Beverage Zone, Agricultural Products, Licenses, and Franchise; Manufacturing and Services Zones; as well as Fashion Zones, Lifestyles, and Home Decorations.
In addition to the exhibition, TEI 2025 will hold a business forum in the form of seminars, talk shows, and workshops. Other activities that were also held were business matching, business consulting, delegation meetings and honorary visits (courtesy calls), to signing a trade memorandum of understanding (MoU).
At the previous event, TEI 2024 presented 1,460 exhibition participants and 41,488 visitors. The 39th TEI managed to bring in 8,042 buyers from 140 countries and recorded transactions of 22.73 billion US dollars.
Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Denny Abdi said, in fact, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs promoted TEI through 132 Indonesian representatives abroad to make the TEI a success.
According to him, the TEI event can create a multiplier effect on the national economy.
"TEI is not only an opportunity to buy and sell, but also an opportunity to introduce Indonesia to the world. From trade transactions, investment opportunities, to tourism promotions can start at TEI 2025. So, it is important for us as hosts to provide a positive experience for foreign buyers," said Denny.
