Two Super League Teams Will Make Maguwoharjo Stadium Temporary Headquarters
JAKARTA - President Director of PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB), Ferry Paulus, confirmed that two Super League 2025/2026 clubs, namely PSIM Yogyakarta and PSBS Biak, are temporarily based at Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman.
In fact, the stadium is the headquarters of the Indonesian second level Championship club, PSS Sleman.
According to Ferry, the permit was granted for reasons that could indeed be accepted. So far, it is known that the PSBS Biak and Yogyakarta PSIM homebases are being renovated.
"Equivalently, because PSIM is still under renovation, including PSBS Biak. So, we allow it there (Maguwoharjo Stadium)," said Ferry Paulus while at the PT LIB GMS in Jakarta quoted Friday, July 11, 2025.

Even though he has given permission, Ferry said that this is not permanent. He emphasized that after the renovation process is complete, each club can return to its original markings.
"This is a note, for sure we will ask the two clubs to go to their respective places in the future," said Ferry.
In the GMS meeting, Ferry also conveyed the schedule for the 2025/2026 Super League which will start on August 8, 2025. The league's first match is Persebaya Surabaya vs PSIM Yogyakarta at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya.
In addition to announcing the schedule, PT LIB also changed the name Liga 1 to Super League. Then Liga 2 as the second division was changed to Championship.
"Starting this season (2025/2026), we will make changes to our names by carrying the name BRI Super League for League 1 and Pegadaian Championship for League 2," said Ferry.
