BYD Announces Atto 2 Specifications In Europe, Capable Electric Car Competitors Citroen E-C3
JAKARTA - BYD has confirmed the complete specifications of its newest electric car named Atto 2 for the European market. Later this model will become the ideal challenger for other cheap EVs such as Citroen e-C3, Renault 4, and Vauxhall Frontera.
Launching from Autocar, Monday, January 13, this car is positioned on Dolphin's hatchback with a wider dimension but still carries a compact design.
In dimensions, this one car has a length of 4,310 mm, a width of 1,830 mm, a height of 1,675 mm with a wheelbase of 2,620 mm.
Although it has a compact size, it offers a five-seater configuration with a large trunk of up to 400 liters. Then, the manufacturer gives it a 15.6-inch touchscreen, which can be rotated for views in portrait and landscape orientations.

This well-known Chinese manufacturer confirmed that Atto 2 will use a 45.1 kWh battery which can produce a distance of up to 194 miles or the equivalent of 312 km in one full charge.
The battery installed into the car uses a cell-to-body construction that can increase stiffness in the chassis section. Meanwhile, BYD Atto 2 is available with a single electric motor configuration located at the front measuring 174 hp.
In comparison, other affordable electric cars such as the Vauxhall Frontera are equipped with 112-hp electric motors and 44 kWh batteries capable of providing a distance of 186 miles or 300 km.
Other competitors such as e-C3 have a lithium-ferro phosphate (LFP) battery package that has a range of 320 km incorporating the performance of the 113-hp electric motor.
Although the price has not been officially announced, BYD Atto 2 will be marketed in Europe at a price of around 20,000 or equivalent to IDR 398 million.
