JAKARTA - Google CEO Sundar Pichai said the company will focus its main work on the AI Gemini model by 2025.
In a recording owned by CNBC during a strategic meeting with several executives, Pichai said, Gemini will be their priority next year.
"I think 2025 will be a critical year," Pichai told TechCrunch.
"I think it is very important for us to understand the urgency of this moment, and need to move faster as a company. The stakes are high," he continued.
In addition, Pichai also mentioned, they will increase Gemini's capabilities to a larger scale for all of its users.
Gemini's scale increase on the consumer side will be our biggest focus next year, he said.
Because according to Pichai, Gemini, developed with the current AI model, still has a gap. So, they will find a way to cover it up.
"We have some work to do in 2025 to close the gap and build leadership positions there too," he said.
Google in 2023 launched version 1 of AI Gemini that can work with text, images, audio, videos, and code.
