JAKARTA - Attorney General Ken cap has launched investigations into Charter.AI and fourteen other companies including Reddit, Instagram, and Discord regarding the privacy and safety practices of minors.

This investigation was carried out in accordance with the Online Children's Securing Law through the Parental Empowerment (SCOPE) and the Texas Data Privacy and Security Law (TDPSA).

Where the SCOPE Law prohibits digital service providers from sharing, disclosing, or selling personal information of minors without permission from the child's parents or legal guardians.

The SCOPE Act also requires companies to provide tools for parents to manage and control privacy settings on their children's accounts.

Meanwhile, the TDPSA Law imposes strict notification and approval requirements on companies that collect and use the personal data of minors, including the way children communicate with various AI products.

"This investigation is an important step to ensure that social media companies and AI comply with our laws designed to protect children from exploitation and danger," Attorney General Ken totaled in an official statement.

They have also notified all media platforms and technology companies that they will strictly enforce Texas's strict data privacy laws.

The investigation follows the Attorney General's latest lawsuit against TikTok for operating in violation of SCOPE's safety and privacy requirements.
