JAKARTA - The United States Aeronautics and Space Agency (NASA) held aSpace Apps Challenge with the theme "Prosperous Open Science Explore". This event was held for two days, to be precise on October 7 and 8.

The Space Apps Challenge has succeeded in collecting more than 50,000 participants. With so many participants registering, theSpace Apps ChallengeNASA is the YouTuben, the biggest programming competition in the world.

During the event, NASA personnel provided a scientific challenge to solve with developed software, engineering, art, storytelling, engineering, and other capabilities.

Based on its release, NASA held this event in a hybrid manner. Several teams can participate offline and several other teams participate virtually considering that this event is open to all countries in the world.

NASA Science Association administrator Nicola Fox said that her company has an important role in encouraging understanding the universe using science. Through this annual event, NASA wants to make people understand that their data can be expanded and accessed easily.

Open knowledge results in transparent, reproducible, and emulateable research while increasing diversity and inclusion, Fox explained.

After the event is over, all projects developed by participants will be assessed by NASA and other space experts. Later there will be 10 global awards given to selected participants. Winners will be announced in early 2024 with a celebration time that will follow in June.
