Google Launches Cheapest Aircraft Ticket Search Tool And Price Prediction

JAKARTA - The dilemma between ordering plane tickets quickly or waiting for the hope of getting cheaper offers is a problem faced by many travelers every year. However, Google now has a solution to this, with the launch of a new tool that provides travelers with the opportunity to save the lowest tariff.

Although this technology company claims that early ordering is usually the safest option, this new search feature allows users to know when is the best time to buy tickets.

This is supported by a'reliable trend data', with this tool offering useful insights into whether the price is too expensive or is being discounted.

"For example, this insight can tell you that the cheapest booking time for a similar trip is usually two months before departure, and you are currently at that sweet spot," Google said. "Or you may know that prices usually drop just before departure, so you decide to wait before booking."

"However, you can make this decision with greater confidence," added Google.

To take advantage of this feature, travelers can even choose to receive regular updates about the selected destination and date.

This means when the price drops, users will be notified via their email account - provided they have registered with Google.

Sometimes, Google is so confident in its price prediction capabilities that the 'price guarantee' badge will appear on its bid.

In these cases, Google will monitor the price of flights purchased daily before departure. If the price drops, the technology company will return the difference via Google Pay.

However, at this time, this is only part of the experimental program available to selected groups of flights in the United States.

"Outside of these tools, we have gathered other information to help you travel with the budget," Google said. 'Last year, we shared based on historical price trends on Google Flights."

"We are checking the latest data, and most tips from 2022 are still in effect: Transit or avoiding weekend departures is one of the best ways to save on your next flight booking fee," Google said.

To use this flight tool, search for 'Google Flights' in the internet search bar. This feature should be one of the first to appear and, when clicked, will take you to another search bar.

Here, you will have the option to choose any holiday destination while also providing advice on a more expensive or cheaper date for flights.

"Look for" before clicking 'See price history' will provide a more in-depth overview of the travel route you selected. This includes a graph that displays prices over time as well as average prices and alternative options.

In the same window, there will be a 'Lrandom price' switch displayed just below the search bar. When enabled, a warning will be sent to your email about any change in ticket price
