JAKARTA - Meta via Facebook has just introduced a new personalization control for Reels. In this control users can customize what they want to see, making it more relevant.

When users view Reels, they can tap the three-dot menu at the bottom of the video player and select Show More or Show Less. Users will start viewing that option at the bottom of Reels as well as videos in the Watch feed.

Furthermore, if users select the Show More option on Reels, Facebook will then raise its ranking score and for the Reels they like.

But if the user chooses the Show Less option, the social media will lower the rating score. Facebook previously rolled out the Show More button and Showed Less for regular posts on social networks.

"By capturing your direct feedback, we can make scroll rankings smarter and more in line with your preferences," Facebook said in its official blog, quoted Wednesday, May 3.

Facebook also launched a contextual label feature on the Reels video player, which serves to explain why users see certain Reels displayed, because their friends like it.

Lastly, Facebook also added Reels to the main navigation at the top of Facebook Watch to give users quick access to short videos.

With this, users can easily find creators, trends, and content that suits their interests. In addition, while watching videos on Facebook, users can also scroll smoothly between long rolls and videos.

The addition of this new feature is in response to Mark Zuckerberg's social media because Reels continues to grow. The company wants to make it easier for users to find across apps.

"Reels also continues to be more social with people re-sharing Reels on our app more than 2 billion times a day, doubling over the past six months," Facebook said.
