Amazon Stop Support For Halo Health Devices Starting July 31

JAKARTA - Amazon has announced that the company will discontinue support for Amazon Halo, a membership dedicated to helping customers improve their individual health and fitness, from 31 July.

In its announcement, employees in the US and Canada affected by this decision will be given some compensation from the company in the form of separate payments, transitional health insurance allowances, and support for external work placement.

"At Amazon, we think big, experiment and invest in new ideas like Amazon Halo in our efforts to please customers. Even though we are proud of what we made, we recently made a difficult decision to stop supporting Amazon Halo starting July 31, 2023," Amazon wrote in its announcement.

As for users, Amazon will provide some compensation such as a refund of purchase funds made in the previous 12 months for Amazon Halo View, Amazon Halo Band, Amazon Halo Rise, and Amazon Halo accessories band.

In addition, unused Halo prepaid subscription fees will be returned to your initial payment method. So, if you have a paid subscription, from today you will no longer be charged a monthly subscription fee.

With this decision, starting August 1, 2023, Amazon Halo devices, and Amazon Halo apps, will no longer work. If you want to download or delete Halo's health data, you can do so from the Settings page in the app.

Since all Halo health data will be deleted after August 1, you can move the scan image to the Rol Mobile Camera. To do this, open an individual scan image, click the button next to the camera icon, and select "Save image to phone".

As for Amazon Halo devices, the company advises users to recycle Amazon Halo devices and accessories through Amazon's Recycling Program. Amazon says it will cover costs related to the delivery and recycling of your devices and accessories.
