The amateur astronomer's area, Surabaya Astronomy Club (SAC), monitors the rare natural phenomenon, namely the hybrid solar eclipse at Taman Surya, Surabaya City Hall, Thursday, April 20. Chairman of SAC Muhammad Rizky Pradana conveyed the rare natural phenomenon of hybrid solar eclipses that are included in the category of annual solar eclipses or Solar Eclipse. The phenomenon of rare nature was in the form of a closed sun by the moon, the last time it could be seen in Indonesia in 2019 ago. "The Hybrid Sun Eclipse does not occur every year in Indonesia and it becomes a special attraction, one of which attracts the public interest as well as tourists to observe together. In fact, in Surabaya this time, only SAC held this activity," he said. Monitoring of the Hybrid Sun Eclipse started at 09.00 WIB. Residents who wish to witness it could go through several telescopes and solar filter glasses to support observations, to the most sophisticated being an alpha hydrogen camera connected to a laptop. Not only Surabaya residents, but also some outside-city residents also carried out educational tours about this natural phenomenon. Like Lidya, a tourist from Malang City, East Java who with her husband and two children wanted to witness directly the Hybrid Sun Eclipse. Since 09.30 WIB, Lidya and her family had arrived at Surya Park Surabaya City Surabaya City Hall. They went straight to the telescope and occasionally wore solar filter glasses to observe the Hybrid Sun Eclipse. "Here because there is information on the Sun Eclipse and its location in the Surabaya City Hall yard. So we rushed from Malang this morning," said Lidya. According to him, by watching the natural phenomenon of Gerhana Matahari Hybrid could directly provide an experience to his two children who are still in elementary school (SD).

"Schools through science, they learn about the Lunar and Solar Eclipse, but if only through the material from the book I don't think it's enough. If you see it directly, it can be a very good opportunity because it is the same as the one studied in the book," he said, quoted by Antara. Not much different from Lidya, Fridayani Kusuma, a tourist from Gresik Regency, East Java, is also enthusiastic about witnessing the natural phenomenon of the Hybrid Sun Eclipse at Surya Park Surya Balai Surabaya City Surabaya. "We deliberately go on vacation while providing learning experiences for children. We observed through the telescope and now using solar filter glasses, because this natural phenomenon is very rare.
