JAKARTA - Pinterest has re-launched its new capabilities in its collage-making app, Shuffles, by presenting shopping features.

In this application that was launched to the public last year, users can create photo collages using Pinterest's photo library or take pictures of objects with their iPhone cameras.

This time, the company launched a shopping feature as a regular Pin. Users can see the products used in the collage with one tap, then they will be presented in the form of brand information, prices and metadata for other products or similar products.

Pinterest states, unlike product exploration in general, Shuffles presents interactivity that makes the experience inspiring and fun.

Gen-Z create fresh and relevant content with their colleagues, which is quickly becoming a trendy and buying market of ideas. The high-density Shuffles nature, which can include product shear layers from multiple Pins, allows consumers to dig deeper and also connect to other shuffles that include the same Pin," Pinterest said in a blog post.

"As we look ahead to how consumer behavior develops, we test how to integrate shuffles collage content into Pinterest, starting with shopping."

Shuffles jumped into the Lifestyle No. 1 on the United States App Store (US) in August last year when only invited users could use the application. It is claimed that the shopping feature to Shuffles is the Pinterest strategy to keep users in its independent application.

Launching TechCrunch, Monday, March 27, Pinterest also announced that it is exploring a new takeover feature for advertisers called Pinterest Premiere Spotlight.

The feature will feature the brand strikingly in search. The company says the feature is designed to give advertisers a new way to reach users on Pinterest.

The company revealed that 97 percent of the top searches on Pinterest are not branded, meaning users usually don't type brand names into their search on the platform.

By adding the feature, it will give brands the opportunity to be found as they help consumers move from discovery to decision to buy.

In the coming months, the company is also planning to offer additional ways to help brands connect with buyers.

For information, Pinterest now has 450 million monthly active users globally, up 4 percent year-on-year.

Where Pinterest has focused on improving its platform shopping experience over the past few years, and they want to make every pin purchased, including videos.

These iOS-only apps are now available in the US, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
