JAKARTA - In the near future, iPhone users will have good sound quality when calling or receiving calls thanks to the new Voice Isolation feature on iOS 16.4.

Apple says the Voice Isolation feature is a software solution that users can activate to reduce ambient noise, such as background or wind sound, to help interlocutors hear voices more clearly.

Sound Isolation on iOS is nothing new, this feature is already available for FaceTime and WhatsApp calls, even on Macs and iPadOS running iOS 15 or macOS Monterey.

However, until now the feature does not support ordinary phone calls. To use it, open Control Center during call, tap the Microphone Mode button, and select the Voice Isolation option.

Apart from Sound Isolation, Apple also brings a variety of new improvements to its operating system. Third-party web browsers (web applications) will be embedded on Home Screen, they will feature notification badges for warnings.

Then, the ICloud Joint Photo Library can now detect duplicate photos and photos. The Weather App also supports VoiceOver narratives for maps.

The update also introduces 21 new emojis that can be accessed from the emoji keyboard. iOS 16.4 adds new accessibility settings that can be enabled to automatically dim the screen during flash of light or thestrobe effect detected in the video.

Requests for Purchase Permits from children will now appear correctly on parents' devices.

The new Home Architecture, which has been re-introduced at iOS 16.4, has now fixed the problem where the material-compatible thermostat can become non-responsive when paired to Apple Home.

Finally, Apple has now optimized the Accident Detection algorithm on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models, as quoted from MacRumors, Wednesday, March 23.
