JAKARTA - Electronic Arts (EA) has announced that starting April 28, 2023, some Battlefield titles such as Battlefield 1943, Battlefield: Bad Company 1 and 2 will be removed from digital storefronts and you can no longer buy them.

A few months later, the EA will stop the titles from online services permanently on December 8, 2023.

"For Bad Company 1 and 2, you can still play it and use each other's offline features, like a single-player campaign," the publisher wrote in the announcement.

There were no specific issues in closing the three Battlefield titles, according to the announcement, publishers just want players to shift their focus on Battlefield's new games in the future.

A little nostalgic, Battlefield 1943 is the third entry in the Battlefield franchise available on consoles. This title takes you to World War II when you fight in the Pacific as the United States Marine Corps or the Japanese Empire Navy.

Meanwhile, Battlefield: Bad Company introduced a group of iconic and relatable troublemakers who risked everything and went AWOL to pursue a personal search.

Not only the cast and the story are interesting, the mode is now called Rush - adding a new core mode kefranchise Bottlefield.

Bad Company 2 is the first time a PC player has been introduced to a group of military exiles, along with a new upgrade that comes to the Frostbite engine.
