Vitalik Buterin Send 200 ETH To Kraken Crypto Exchange

JAKARTA - The rapid development of blockchain technology has brought many changes in various sectors. One sector that is experiencing significant changes is the cryptocurrency sector. Cryptocurrencies or digital currencies are increasingly popular in society, especially with the soaring price of Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Amid the recent rise in prices of BTC and ETH, blockchain security firm PeckShildAlert reported that Ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin has moved 200 ETHs to the Kraken crypto exchange.

This is in the spotlight because it raises question marks about the purpose behind the move and raises various speculation among cryptocurrency investors. PeckShild Alert announced the transfer via its official Twitter account on March 13, 2023.

However, the exact reason for Vitalik Buterin's move is still unknown. However, it is likely that he will need funding for certain purposes such as funding new projects or covering expenses. At the time of writing, ETH rose 13 percent in the last 24 hours at 1,656 US dollars (around Rp25 million), suggesting that the crypto market was still up and down.

Not only moving ETH to Kraken, but Vitalik Buterin has also made several other transactions. According to PeckShild Alert, he gave 500 Ethereum to Reflecter over the weekend and then scored 150,000 Rai Reflect Index (RAI). In addition, he also exchanged 17,500 RAIs for 50,000 DAIs, and then 132,500 RAIs for 378,500 USDCs. All these transactions were made in no time.

Not long ago, Vitalik Buterin sold some of his altcoin holdings. In his sales, Buterin sold 9.9 billion CLT tokens, original CultDAO tokens, for 58 ETH. In addition, he also sold his BITE and MOPS shares. Total sales reached 220 ETH. Buterin later stated that the coins "did not have cultural or moral value."

The 200 ETH move of Vitalik Buterin to Kraken may lead to speculation from crypto market investors and observers. However, the exact reason for the transaction is still unknown.
