JAKARTA - The DANA digital wallet application cooperates with one of the largest retail networks in Indonesia, Alfamart in providing additional payment options when transacting, as well as online payment options at Alfagift.

Through this partnership, the public can now use non-cash payments with the QRIS DANA code when shopping. This is also in line with the goal of DANA to expand access and increase financial inclusion of various cashless payment services for daily lifestyle activities for Indonesians

Launching from the official statement of Bank Indonesia, the increase in transaction volume using QRIS is targeted to experience aggressive growth during 2023. It is recorded that this target reaches one billion transaction volumes with the expansion of QRIS implementation through a strategy of 45 million users by 2023.

To support this effort, DANA provides services ranging from cash in, cash out, top up balance, to cash withdrawals at Alfamart outlets throughout Indonesia. In addition, the non-cash payment options offered by DANA are also diverse, including using DANA balances or credit or debit cards contained in the DANA application through Save Cards.

"Until today, the DANA application has been integrated with more than 17,000 Alfamart outlets spread throughout Indonesia. We believe this collaboration can open wider access to financial services for the community and accelerate the adoption of digital wallet usage for various daily needs," said Vince Iswara, DANA's Chief Executive Officer in a statement received on Friday, March 10.

According to Alfamart Marketing Director, Ryan Alfons Kaloh, this collaboration further complements various payment options for Alfamart and Alfagift consumers.

"We welcome the positive cooperation between DANA and Alfamart Alfagift which aims to provide convenience, comfort, and security of transactions for Alfamart customers and Alfagift users, especially with the ecosystem provided by DANA," he explained.

Ryan also said that this collaboration will further facilitate public access even to remote areas to start familiarly using the cashless payment method, thus contributing to accelerating financial inclusion in Indonesia through this digitization.
