JAKARTA - Playboy, a well-known adult content magazine, is ready to launch Playboy MetaMansion this year on Metaverse. Liz Suman, head of Playboy Web3, confirmed that "Playboy MetaMansion" will launch this year on Paris' NFT last week.

However, access to a virtual world that hasn't been launched will be open to everyone, but only Rabbitar NFT holders will have access to "cool spots". MetaMansion is a virtual world that combines talent and influencer networks and provides a hands-on experience for users.

Playboy has been involved in Web3 since 2021 by launching her first NFT collection featuring her extensive photography and artwork archives. It then continued with launching a collection of Rabbitar avatar NFTs that included 11,953 3D rabbits characters. Playboy also has partners in NFT development and the virtual world, including The Sandbox. MetaMansion itself will be an extension of Playboy's involvement on Web3.

However, even though only the NFT Rabbitar holder will have access to the "cool spots" on MetaMansion. Furthermore, Suman mentioned that the company opens up opportunities for others interested in web3 to join MetaMansion. They can also create the virtual space to become a meeting place for everyone.

However, without giving a specific date, Suman could only confirm that the company plans to launch MetaMansion this year and adds that traditional media should take a deeper look at what Metaverse has to offer.

Adidas, a sportswear company, also enlivened the Metaverse by announcing the launch of sneakers with tokens. This is nothing new for the company that first bought the NFT Bored Ape Yacht Club in December 2021. Later, the company released 30,000 NFTs as part of its debut collection "Into the Metaverse" and generated US$23.4 million (around Rp236 billion) in a short time. This shows the company's great interest in Web3 and Metaverse.

With the growing technology of Web3 and Metaverse, well-known companies are starting to move and develop their business into the virtual world. Playboy and Adidas are two examples of companies that have joined the Metaverse by launching new products and services. With more open access and more advanced technology, the Metaverse is becoming increasingly attractive to many people and companies to engage in.
