JAKARTA - Microsoft has partnered with decentralized blockchain infrastructure provider Ankr to provide a new hosting node service at Microsoft's Azure Marketplace. In addition, the partnership will see the technological integration of the two companies, combining Ankr's blockchain infrastructure with Microsoft's cloud solutions.
According to Ankr, service implementing an entertainment node will offer a low-lates blockchain connection for Web3 projects so that developers can spend time developing their apps. This service continues transactions, applies smart contracts, and can read or write blockchain data.
By upgrading its payload balancer to use Azure-based routing solutions, Ankr said the company would be able to further improve transaction processes by efficiently routing the Remote Procedure Call request to the most suitable nodes. With the integration of this technology, clients will be able to manage hosting node solutions with specification options specifically for memory, bandwidth, and global locations for blockchain nodes.
"This partnership, while represents an extraordinary milestone for Ankr, is also a key indicator of how far decentralized webs have integrated with important players in every layer of the web system. The final result will be a very productive development era for blockchain-based applications from new Web3 projects and large companies entering this space," said Chandler Song, co-founder and CEO of Ankr, quoted by Cointelegraph.
"Many developers and organizations are exploring how Web3 can help solve real-world business challenges, and our partnership with Ankr will allow them to reliably, scaleable, and securely access blockchain data," said Rashmi Misra, General Manager of artificial intelligence and technology emerging in Microsoft.
Earlier, Cointelegraph reported on May 14, 2021, that Microsoft closed its Azure Blockchain service without an official explanation. On December 15, 2022, the American tech giant banned cryptocurrency mining on its cloud services, citing the need to protect its online services from risks such as cyber fraud, attacks, and unauthorized access to customer resources.
