JAKARTA - The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) and the Google search giant officially opened the Bangkit 2023 program on Monday, February 20.

According to a Google statement, 5,000 students from 67,000 students have registered to take part in the "Bangkit" program. batch one which starts today until June 2023.

Over the past two years, Google and the Directorate General of Education and Technology have supported the incubation of 30 startup candidates who have implemented the knowledge they have gained in the Bangkit program to solve real problems that exist in society.

"Currently, the development of the digital economy in Indonesia is developing positively. This encourages the creation of high-skilled jobs that are wide open to Indonesia's young generation. We believe that Bangkit graduates can advance to become the high-time talent the industry is looking for," concluded Randy.

Together with the Directorate General of Diktiristek and founding partners at GoTo, Traveloka, Deeptech, as well as partner universities and recruitment companies, Google hopes to maintain the gold standard of this Merdeka Campus program. The second batch will start in July 2023 and open up opportunities for 4,000 participants.
