JAKARTA - Google employees have criticized its CEO Sundar Pichai and criticized his company through an internal forum, Memegen. They made remarks regarding the launch of Bard, their ChatGPT competitor.

Reported for the first time by CNBC International, employees described Bard's launch as a rush, failure and unlike Google's own characteristics.

One meme that includes a picture of Pichai is, "Dear Sundar, the launch of Bard and layoffs was carried out in a hurry, failed, and lost. Please take a long-term view again," the meme reads.

Others, "Sundar, and its leadership, deserve Perf N1 (which refers to the lowest score in Google's internal evaluation system)," Google employees said in a meme.

"They are funny to have a short view and don't use Google in pursuit of sharpening their focus," he added.

Launching various sources, Monday, February 13, the criticism came after Google accelerated the announcement of its ChatGPT competitor, Bard in a live streaming event, that same week Microsoft showed how its Bing search engine would integrate ChatGPT technology.

The main goal of the event is actually to highlight new features on Google Maps and Google Search, but also to insert a brief mention of Bard in connection with Microsoft news.

However, the blog post detailing Bard's announcement is unclear about its capabilities and launch time. Google also doesn't share any more details about Bard.

Along with reports of Bard's inaccuracies in the demonstrations displayed by providing misinformation about the discovery of exoplanets by the James Webb Space Telescope, making Google look unprepared to plunge into the AI chatbot market.

For information, Microsoft is currently planning the integration of OpenAI language AI technology into a Microsoft 365 core application such as Docs, PowerPoint, and Outlook. It is claimed to be announced next month.
