Apple Capai 2 Billion Active Devices, So Apple's New Record?

JAKARTA - Apple has reached its new milestone by generating more than 2 billion active hardware, which includes iPhone, iPad, Mac, and other hardware products in 2022.

In a quarterly opinion report found by The Verge, Apple went quite fast on its hardware. This was proven after the company made it to the 2 billion milestone after reaching 1.8 billion active devices in just one year.

Even in early 2020, Apple highlighted the rapid growth, where they managed to reach 1.5 billion active devices, and managed to surpass 1 billion devices in 2016.

"During the December quarter, we reached an important milestone and were pleased to report that we now have more than 2 billion active devices as part of our growing installation base," said Apple CEO Tim Cook.

The base for installing iOS, macOS, and other Apple devices is quite large compared to 3 billion active Android devices, Google reported in 2021.

Although Apple's number of active devices has soared, Apple estimates that its revenue will fall in the second quarter in a row. But iPhone sales are likely to increase as production returns to normal in China after the COVID-related lockdown.

Apple's sales last year fell 5% to $117.2 billion and fell in every part of the world in that quarter. Sales from each product category fell, except for service and iPad benefits.
