JAKARTA - An automotive company from Germany, Audi is developing several interesting concept cars. They make innovations in creating transportation tools in urban areas to self-driving sedans. The most recent is Activesphere, an electric luxury coup sedan that looks very sleek and can turn into an off-road pickup truck.

With a very impressive ground clearance, a large 22-inch wheel, and a hatchback model that can turn into an open cargo box with just one touch of buttons. The Activesphere is described as the most versatile concept of Audi cars.

When the driver is tired while driving, he can take this sturdy car to the open road without worrying about leaving the road because the driver's system is automatically ready to keep the journey.

Activesphere is the "peak" of the current Audi concept car. The four concepts are to represent each of the four rings in the Audi logo.

Activesphere is not only a design experiment but it is also on the modular electric drive platform that Audi is developing in collaboration with the sister company, Porsche, which will have real-world implications for future production vehicles.

The Activesphere platform is called Premium Platform Electric, or PPPE, and will support future Audi performance vehicles which will be released in 2023.

The PPE platform will include an 800-volt battery that allows fast charging, similar to the Audi E-tron GT Quattro. That means a distance of 300 kilometers can be reached by only one charge for 10 minutes.

The PPE will accommodate an unprecedented high-volume series of cars, including SUVs and CUVs with high ground clearance as well as cars with flat silhouettes that are part of a series of Audi core products, such as the Audi A6 series, which has a wheelbase nearly identical to the Audi Activesphere concept.

Not only that, this concept car has technology and is also equipped with high technology which makes the appearance of travel routes and a real environment, as well as displays 3D content and other interactive elements. Audi does include the latest automakers who use AR and VR features in cars as a way to improve or increase driving experience.

Apart from the Activesphere has autonomous capabilities, so the use of headsets to provide more details about cars doesn't have to be annoying or dangerous. When the steering wheel and other driving controls are recalled, the driver can get full experience when wearing this device.

Activesphere includes a wide range of attractive design options, including the door to provide wider entrances to vehicles and steering wheels that can be recalled to emphasize vehicle autonomous capabilities.

Ground clearance for vehicles can be adjusted as much as 40 millimeters from the base height of 208 millimeters. This height can also be lowered in the same amount when driving on the highway.

As the vehicle moves up or down, the driver gets a visual representation thanks to a row of metal strips locking each other under the door on both sides.

The backdoor can also reconfigure itself into an open cargo bed, which Audi says is perfect for transporting e-bikes or other outdoor equipment. A partition appears to separate motorists from rear cargo areas, such as the middle door in pickup trucks. Audi called it "active exposure".

Activesphere is the fourth of a series of concept cars that German automakers say will recreate mobility as we know it today. The first is the Skysphere, a sleek electric convertible with customizable chassis. Next is the Grandsphere, a wide electric sedan with interiors likely designed by celebrity Kim Kardashian. Next, the third is Urbansphere, a huge autonomous human carrier for traffic-intensive big cities.
