JAKARTA - Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (OH) has officially operated one year since it was first launched on January 4, 2022, by connecting and empowering the Indonesian people by accelerating the nation's digital transformation.

During that period, IOH continued to prove itself to be a major supporter of the growth of trends in the Indonesian telecommunications and GDP industry.

To mark this special moment, IOH launched the research results entitled Empowering Indonesia 2023, a comprehensive report that reviews the pillars of Indonesia's digital economy and the role of technology in accelerating future growth.

"Digital technology is believed to be able to support Indonesia's GDP growth, where internet penetration also continues to increase with the projection of the digital economy will contribute around 14% to GDP in 2027," continued Mikha.

In the results of this research, IOH at least mentioned several factors driving the growth of Indonesia's digital economy, including the massive UMKM revolution, inspiring digital innovation that is widespread with technology startups, changing the landscape of national digitalization, and building a stronger digital economy foundation with digital talent.

On the same occasion, IOH also presented various initiatives in carrying out its mission to provide a world-class digital experience, connect, and empower the Indonesian people.
