JAKARTA - YouTuber Logan Paul has threatened to sue fellow internet YouTuber and detective, Coffeezilla, for defamation after he accused Paul's CryptoZoo nonfungible token (NFT) project of "fraud".

The two have been fighting back and forth on social media and YouTube videos since December 17, when Stephen Findeisen, also known as Coffeezilla, launched the first three-part video series to attack CryptoZoo and Paul, who are the faces of the project.

CryptoZoo should be a fun blockchain game that can give you money... but investor money millions of dollars later, is all still broken, Coffeezilla said, as quoted by Cointelegraph.

In his latest response, Logan Paul published a YouTube video on January 4 accusing the internet detective of leading demands to direct and monetize narratives that tell millions of people that he is a fraud or he tries to trick his audience.

He also accused Coffeezilla of doing so without verifying any background information or strengthening any evidence. Logan added that he "considers the words of many criminals as truth and violates the law, still publishing defamation.

"See you in court," said Paul.

CryptoZoo is an NFT game with the premise of allowing "Keepers" to buy NFT eggs using the game's original token, ZOO. These eggs will then be eradicated into breedingable animals to create hybrid animals.

Hybrids are meant to be able to trade and provide ZooKeepers with ZOO, while Paul describes the project on the August 21, 2021 podcast as "a very fun game that makes money for you".

In addition, Paul has suggested the art for the game will be "made up of hands" by 10 different artists for six months.

Hybrids are the focus of Coffeezilla's September 11, 2021 video where she describes those images as "a collection of photos from Adobe that has been poorly photographed".

However, the CryptoZoo blog hasn't published new content since April 20, leading some to believe project development has been discontinued.

During the Coffeezilla three-part series on CryptoZoo, this YouTuber interviewed potential investors from the project. One of the investors who claims to still hold the eggs asks CryptoZoo's team to "replace the loyal fans they have or try to rebuild the project."

However, in his latest video, Paul says that they will "continue to build CryptoZoo", share a teaser stating that it will appear in 2023/2024. "Believe me, CryptoZoo is coming, I will make sure," Paul said.

But Coffeezilla continues to question the authenticity of these claims on Twitter.

Meanwhile, neither Paul nor Coffeezilla have challenged each other to discuss the issue on their respective platforms, but both have yet to accept any invitations.

According to CoinMarketCap, ZOO tokens have fallen by 99.5% over the past year, despite some gains in the past week following recent media attention.

Paul has been a loyal supporter of crypto and NFT throughout 2021 and was the main promoter of the Dink Doink (DINK) crypto token before launching CryptoZoo. The Doink Health Office was also criticized by Coffeezilla in the video July 12, 2021.
