JAKARTA - Gran Turismo 7 from developer Polyphony Digital at PS5 will receive support for playing on the PlayStation VR2 on February 22.

In a brief clip exhibited at the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), game owners will now receive a free update that will allow them to add VR support to the game.

With this announcement, Gran Turismo 7 has officially joined more than 30 titles to be released for the next generation VR Sony headset, including Horizon Call of the Mountain, The Dark Pictures: VR Switchback, and much more.

Besides Gran Turismo 7, the current title that will also receive updates for the PlayStation VR2 is No Man's Sky and Resident Evil Village. As for the game remake Resident Evil 4, Sony will offer exclusive VR content on Sony's headset after the game launch itself.

The PlayStation VR2 will come out on February 22, selling for $549.99, with pre-orders currently available. Sony is also reportedly planning to produce two million PS VR2 units by March 2023.

Sony's other announcements at CES 2023 include PS5 sales that have now surpassed 30 million units worldwide, with December as the most successful month for the console.

Sony also revealed Kit's new accessibility controller for PS5, Project Leonardo created for players with limited motor control, including difficulty holding the controller for a long time, pressing a small group of buttons or triggers accurately, or positioning the thumb and finger optimally on the standard controller.
