JAKARTA - Meta seems to be expanding a new feature for WhatsApp Desktop beta to help users manage their chat lists.

Known from WABtainfo, WhatsApp is working on a feature that will give users the ability to select multiple chats to upgrade the original WhatsApp app on Windows and macOS.

Based on VOI's monitoring from the screenshots shared, on WhatsApp Desktop beta there is now a new button in the chat menu called "Select Chat".

Then when you select certain conversations, you'll be able to view two options to mute (Mute) or mark them all as read or unreaded (Mark as Read).

Currently, when you open WhatsApp Desktop, you can't choose multiple chats to delete or anything. You have to open the chat one by one, and it will take more time.

With this new feature in the future, WhatsApp plans to make it easier to choose more than one chat.

The ability to choose multiple chats is a feature that is being developed and will be released in future WhatsApp Desktop beta updates.

As usual, because this is still in the development stage, there is no guarantee whether this feature will be released or not or if the appearance will be exactly the same or there is a difference. Let's wait for the next update.

Previously, WhatsApp also announced a new feature that would allow users to be able to report status updates if you find a status that may violate the Terms of Service.
