JAKARTA - Developer BriinsCroft announced that Resident Evil Code Veronica Fan Reake, a project from Resident Evil Code: Veronica, must be closed on Capcom's orders.

The game is a game project from fans of the Resident Evil series who want Capcom to release a new game from RE Code: Veronica which was launched in 2011.

This project is scheduled to attend this year. However, it turns out that Capcom asked developers to cancel the release of the game.

According to a direct statement from the developer, BriinsCroft said that Capcom's two offices contacted them and asked questions about 3D models and animations.

"They wanted to know where we got the model and animation from. After a few emails asking them, they decided to cancel us, very friendly, until then without any problems," the developer said in a screenshot shared.

After that, the developers claimed that they got another email from other departments from Capcom, which demanded that they cancel the project and immediately remove the web page.

Capcom also discusses copyright from the company's 3D Resident Evil title as well as models and animations that could harm them if the remake game was published.

"In this email they are no longer good and start reading the laws of the United States (as if we care) and in short they tell us that we can't use the name Residentevil because it has copyright and uses company models and animations that can harm the company, etc," he added.
