JAKARTA - Developer and publisher King announced that the mobile game Crash Bandicoot: On the Run will be discontinued on February 16, 2023.

In a Facebook post found by Eurogames, King informed that starting that the game will no longer be played.

"Voth fans, with a heavy heart, we inform you that on February 16, 2023 we will stop service for Crash Bandicoot: On the Run. On that date the server will be closed and the game will no longer be playing," he wrote.

Starting December 19, 2022, all types of purchases in the game will be stopped. However, if you have made the purchase before that date, you can take advantage of it until the game is closed.

"For every purchase made, you'll have it until February 16, 2023 to take advantage of the purple crystal in the game," King said.

Crash Bandicot is an iconic character in a video game from developerNaughty Dog. Starting from the success of its first game, now the marsupial from Australia is already present in all generations of new consoles, including the PS5.

Then in 2021, the Crash Bandicot franchise was expanded to a mobile game titled Crash Bandicoot: On the Run which can be played on iOS and Android.

Unfortunately, this game does not live as long as the console version. The closure of this game must be very unfortunate by the players.

It is not clear the reason for the closure of this game. However, this has become the developer's decision.

"It means a lot to bring your favorite Crash character to life and we are sincerely happy to make this game. Thank you for spending your time with us and we hope you will join us in one of our many other games," the announcement concluded.
