JAKARTA - Amazon Games and Crystal Dynamics have agreed to develop and publish new multiplatform Tomb Raider games.
The new Tomb Raider game doesn't have a title yet, but what is certain is that this game will be a narrative-based single-player adventure game that continues the story of Lara Crook in the Tomb Raider series.

"Tomb Raider is one of the most beloved IPs in entertainment history. Amazon Games is committed to presenting the best quality gaming players, from best developers, on all platforms and genres, and we are honored to have the opportunity to work with these multilevel developers and franchises," said Christoph Hartmann, VP of Amazon Games in an announcement shared on Thursday, December 15.
The game will later cover all elements that make Tomb Raider one of the most respected franchises by players, and give the player control over the hero Lara Crook.
In its development, Crystal Dynamics leverages the latest Unreal Engine 5 technology to bring the story to its next level, at Tomb Raider.
"Crystal Dynamics has an extraordinary opportunity after our acquisition by Embracer to redefine the publishing relationship for Tomb Raider," said Scot Amos, head of the studio at Crystal Dynamics.
Currently, the game is still in early development. Both Amazon and Crystal Dynamics also promised to provide more details in the future.
