JAKARTA - Dell Technologies recently held a virtual media briefing which was attended by media from the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) regions, titled Resolution 2023.

Together with Dell executives, the company shared a number of resolutions that companies/organization need to consider in order to maximize developing technologies by 2023.

Compared to the previous year, Dell claims that by 2022, digital transformation and innovation will play a very important role.

"With a number of industries switching and implementing multicloud architectures in 2022, Dell is committed to meeting the growing needs of our customers and their broader digital transformation goals," said Amit Midha, President, Asia-Pacific & Japan and Global Digital Cities in a statement received in Jakarta.

According to him, managing the cloud's long-term costs and deciding on the right multicloud edge architecture are some of the top priorities of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) in 2023.

John Roese as the Global Chief Technology Officer also stressed the importance for modern companies to adopt a multicloud approach that allows them to have complete control over the company's data and apps, regardless of where the data and apps are located.

"The multicloud approach must also be more cost-effective and can reduce cloud complexity as a whole," Roese said.

Roese also underlined the importance of supporting customers and partners to decide how the multicloud edge architecture fits their needs in the long term.

Currently, edges are everywhere and edge computing has unlimited opportunities. If companies/organizations don't make decisions about the edge architecture they want in the long term, then they will most likely end up with some edge platforms, Roese added.

Thus, empowering customers and partners to align their cybersecurity strategies across data centers, clouds, and on edges is Dell's future resolution.
