Apple Plans To Produce More IPhones In 2021

JAKARTA - Apple plans to increase the number of iPhone production up to 30 percent more, in the first half of 2021. Not only the iPhone 12, but Apple will reproduce components for older models that include the iPhone 11.

Quoted from Reuters, Apple has asked its distributors and assembly plants to produce around 96 to 180 million iPhones. Given that Apple has launched a number of its 5G handsets.

In October this year, Apple recorded the sharpest drop in smartphone sales in three years. To that end, Apple is targeting revenue growth in the single digits in the first quarter of 2021.

This means that in total, Apple plans to produce 230 million units of new iPhones, up 20 percent from 2019. Although this will also be revised again in line with consumer demand.
