JAKARTA - Automotive manufacturer from Germany, Porsche, has decided to enter the world of Web3. The sports car and sedan company plans to launch its first NFT collection in January 2023.

Porsche plans to release a collection of 7,500 NFT items based on their 911 sports car. The NFT collection will be designed by German 3D artist Patrick Vogel.

Porsche takes a unique approach with its NFT collection. This luxury company allows holders to define their NFT holdings when making purchases. The holder will be able to choose between three types of Porsche NFT which includes Performance, Lifestyle, and Heritage. Each selected NFT will have its own uses and uniqueness.

Porsche will launch 150 thousand different design variations that make each NFT an iconic digital artwork. In detail, at the next stage, Vogel will use holder feedback to convert each NFT into a 3D asset on Unreal Engine 5. In short, there are two phase adjustments that give its holders the freedom to personalize their Porsche NFT.

While explaining the 3D visuals of the collection, Lars Kramer, innovation manager & Porche method, stated that the team took inspiration from Porsche's "heritage", a typical Porsche element, and a modern lifestyle to create a journey full of tokens and creatives, "said Kramer, quoted from NFT Evening.

In addition to the NFT Porche collection, this luxury manufacturer also intends to integrate blockchain technology into its ongoing and future operations. This includes combining user purchase experience, supply chain, vehicle problems, and sustainability issues into Web3.

"We have made our commitments for the long term, and our Web3 team has the freedom to develop innovations in this dimension as well," said Lutz Meschke, vice chairman of Porsche and executive board members for finance and IT.

Porsche attended the Mana Common's The Gateway: A Web3 Metropolis event in Miami Art Week during Art Basel, where they held a discussion panel. Because of this, the NFT community focuses them on Porsche and the NFT collection that will launch.

Next, Vogel and visual artist Vexx are there to talk about Porsche's collection and future presence in web space 3. Porsche also revealed an art installation in Miami made by artist and designer Chris Labrooy. The installation will be displayed until December 3 at the PRErez Art Museum. This installation perfectly includes Porsche's first step into Web3: "big, unlimited dreams."

Not Just an Ordinary NFT

Porsche has made it clear that its vision is much deeper than creating an NFT collection that complements luxury companies. Despite the fact that this is a very good entry into Web3, the company intends to do more.

Deniz Keskin, Porsche's Director of Brand Management and Partnership, stated that Web3 allows companies to provide access to exclusive experiences through NFT and Web3 technologies.

By doing this, the company is able to create deeper relationships with its customers than ever before. Porsche fans now have the opportunity to interact with luxury car companies in an attractive but innovative way.
