JAKARTA - Digital wallet trends are increasing, especially when the COVID-19 pandemic is occurring in almost parts of the world. In fact, this digital payment trend has not decreased even though it has entered a period after the pandemic.

Based on research by the online survey application for Polls (Jakpat), DANA is the most popular digital wallet during the first half of 2022.

In addition, certain features in the DANA digital wallet are also a feature of the user's choice as a solution to modern financial services.

Jakpat's research results were carried out on 2,908 respondents of the age group Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z, as well as the middle, lower and upper SES group in DKI Jakarta, the island of Java and outside Java, who used online payments during the first half of 2022.

From the results of this survey, Jakpat stated that more than most of the respondents prefer to use digital wallets in transactions rather than using mobile banking applications.

Overall, DANA occupies the first position as the most widely used digital wallet by users, with a percentage of 68% of the total respondents domiciled outside major cities.

This is one indicator stating that DANA's efforts to open access and encourage the realization of financial services that are inclusive through various features and services are increasingly equitable.

Judging from the age group of users of digital payment platforms, DANA is also the most popular digital wallet among other digital wallets, for the three age groups namely Gen X, Millennial, and Gen Z.

Rangga Wiseno, as the Chief of Product DANA Indonesia, said that research by Jakpat shows several interesting results related to the development and trend of DANA users showing the higher user confidence.

"And this encourages us to continue to provide the best transaction experience for users throughout Indonesia in an effort to accelerate digital transformation, where digital payments have become an entry point for the new economic ecosystem," added Rangga.

With the growth of DANA users who have now reached 130 million, Rangga hopes that DANA's inclusive technology can bridge Indonesia to non-cash communities with a better level of financial literacy and inclusion.

In the category of paying household bills, 38% of respondents use the DANA application to buy or pay electricity bills, 33% of respondents also prefer to make internet payments through DANA, and 45% of respondents make transactions through e-Samsat payment services in the DANA application.

In terms of user perception, DANA is known as a Payment Services Provider (PJP) which guarantees the security of user data, with easy registration and login processes, and is proven to be a digital wallet that offers convenience in transactions.

With this new discovery, DANA is committed to ensuring data security, as well as being a trusted, friendly, and accessible digital wallet.
