JAKARTA - Today's Google Doodle features an interactive game to celebrate Gerald "Jerry" Lawson's 82nd anniversary, one of the modern game's fathers who led the home video game system development team with exchangeable game cartridges.

Lawson was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 1, 1940. Since childhood, he has been interested in electronic goods. This is evident where he is capable of repairing television and making his own radio station using recycled goods.

Stepping on adults, Lawson attended Queens College and City College of New York before leaving early to start his career in Palo Alto, California.

In California, Lawson joined Fairchild Semiconductor as technical consultant and was promoted to Technical and Marketing Director of the video game department Fairchild where he led the development of the Fairchild Channel F system.

In 1980, Lawson left Fairchild and started his own company, VideoSoft, by creating software for Atari 2600, which popularized the cartridges Lawson and his team developed.

Even though they closed five years later, Lawson has established himself as a pioneer in the gaming industry and continues to consult with various engineering and video game companies.

In 2011, the International Game Developers Association recognized Lawson as an industry pioneer for its contribution to the game world.

Today's Google Doodle features a game designed by three guest artists and American game designers: Davionne Gooden, Lauren Brown, and Momo Pixel.

Based on VOI's monitoring, if you press the Google Doodle animation today, you will be taken to a game page that allows you to play simple games while listening to Lawson's life story.

After the game ends, Google will give you the opportunity to create your own games, and play them.
