JAKARTA - After massive layoffs or layoffs, Twitter CEO Elon Musk has now reopened vacancies for promising positions.

Musk made the decision during a meeting with the remaining employees on Twitter. Although the meeting was closed, one of them shared the recording with The Verge media, quoted Wednesday, November 23.

According to the tape, the company will return actively to find people to fill positions in engineering and sales. Apparently, Musk made the announcement on the same day when layoffs hit the company's sales and partnership team.

At the time, Twitter ad sales chief Robin Wheeler and VP ofMINAl drama Suniewick were reportedly fired for opposing Musk's directives to cut more employees.

The dismissal cost nearly two-thirds of Twitter's total 7,500 employees since Elon Musk took over. Musk did not specify what type of engineering or sales he wanted, and the company is currently also not listing the job vacancies on his website.

"In terms of critical recruitment, I think great people in writing software are the highest priority," Musk said.

Last week, Twitter recruiters contacted engineers and asked them to join Twitter 2.0 - Elon Company.

The meeting was Musk's first meeting with his employees after his acquisition. On the same occasion, employees also questioned what the company's future will be, including whether Twitter will move its headquarters to Texas like Tesla.

Musk replied that there were no plans for Twitter to move, but would most likely have multiple head offices in both states. In fact, Musk also stated that Twitter may not be re-launching paid verification until websites believe they can stop imitating.
